Monument Hill

If you love going antiquing, you will enjoy the Brass Armadillo Antique Mall. It has two locations, both very close to Tolleson. 

There are all kinds of artwork, crafts, and bits of Americana you can find there. If you have a little money and want to decorate your living space, you can go there and haggle with the sellers. There’s a distinct Southwestern theme that visitors enjoy.

Corral West Horse Adventures

In Goodyear, close to Tolleson, you will find Corral West Horse Adventures. Visiting is like stepping back in time. You can participate in a cowboy cookout or take a trip around the estate in a covered wagon. 

You can take shorter or longer tours, depending on how much time you’ve got available and how much money you’d like to spend. You’ll find enthusiastic staff members who never break character, and they’re well-informed about the place’s history as well.

Tolleson’s Parks

The Tolleson Park system is excellent. There are several you can visit where you’ll enjoy playing with your kids or taking the dog for a walk

95th Avenue Park is a particularly nice one. It has a picnic area with some grills if you want to cook up some hot dogs and burgers. You’ll also find basketball courts and a playground. Veterans Park is a favorite as well.

Whoopee Daze Festival

The Whoopee Daze Festival takes place for three days in April, and it’s a great way to experience some local color. It is staged in Veterans Park, and it features a parade, some inexpensive carnival-style rides, fresh food for sale, and many diverse arts and crafts vendors.

This is one of the most family-friendly events in all of Arizona, with face painting and games of skill where you can win silly prizes.
