At Threshold Environmental Services, ecological restoration is our specialty. We are focused on helping ecosystems to recover and repairing damage that has been caused. Our projects are highly sophisticated and utilize state-of-the-art technology. Read on to find out more about what we do and how we operate.
When we take on a new project, the first step is to plan out the project in detail. We take the time to analyze the site of the project and gather essential information. During this time, we might photograph the area, take soil samples, and collect geospatial data.
Once we have access to the data that we need, we can focus more on design. We use GIS software to process the data and work to make restoration plans that are well-suited to the local landscape. During this time, we work to maximize water retention and avoid erosion whenever possible.
After a plan is in place, we will begin our work in earnest. From fertilizing soil to adding more plants, we do everything we can to help ecosystems recover without causing any damage in the process. We take on many large-scale projects, and because of this, projects may take months or even years to complete.
Carbon offsets are another important part of our job. One of our goals is to combine carbon credits with our restoration work. It is possible to obtain carbon credits after an area has been restored. Australia is an ideal location for carbon plantings because there is so much agricultural land to work with.
Research is also an essential aspect of the work that we do. We test the approaches that we use on-ground so that we can be sure that our methods are satisfactory. We are always looking for ways to improve our strategies, and we share our knowledge with the public so that others can do the same.
Why We Do What We Do
We are dedicated to the environment, which is why we focus on repairing ecosystems that have been damaged. One of our major goals is to replant hectares. We also strive to make ecosystems more resilient.
When we take on new restoration projects, we want to do more than simply add plants to the area. Instead, we aim to find the right species to plant in that area. We want to make existing ecosystems more resilient so that they are able to thrive on their own.
We have taken on projects in many different areas, including Monjebup North, Ravensthorpe, and Yarraweyah Falls. We partner with landowners when we take on these projects and work to deliver results that everyone will be satisfied with. For example, during some projects, we have planted and seeded as many as 150 plants.
Threshold Environmental Services is focused on restoring ecosystems and helping plants and animal species to thrive. If you would like to find out more about our projects and the work that we do, don’t hesitate to contact us so that you can find out more.
